Its official!

I have posted on this forum before for some advice, but I am now finally moving to Switzerland! I start a new job in Basel in January and I can't wait.

Just thought I'd say hi again...I look forward to being an official 'English living in Switzerland'

Re: Its official!

Great! I love it here and have made a lot of good friends. My partner is Swiss that is why I am here but love it and would not go back to the U.S. if you made me. When you need a good hairstylist look me up.

Re: Its official!

Congratulations!

It's great to see that you have such a positive attitude about moving here. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine.

PS-I have just two words of advice for you: BRING TEA. The cheese and chocolate are great, but Lipton Yellow Label leaves much to be desired.

Re: Its official!

Ha ha! I don't drink tea so I think I'll be ok. Don't think I'll even miss walkers crisps or marmite! Looking forward to great cheese, wine and learning to ski!

Barry - I've added your website to my favourites....I'm a trim-and-colour-every-eight-weeks girl so it'll be useful!

Re: Its official!

We also have walker crisps at the Guiness pub, in fact we have about 3 great pubs and a wonderful curry meet. Mimi is the best Basel host one could ever have.

Re: Its official!

If you go into the introductions forum where you can see the titles of all the threads, theres a button near the top called 'new thread'. Just click that!

Why would you want to move to a shitty country like Switzerland? Surely you have more brains than that.

O' take thee far from here, thou vacant, folly-fallen cutpurse. Thou art nothing save a gleeking, spur-galled rampallion. Thine pribbling, swag-bellied canker-blossom, serves only to show you as a jaded, beef-witted bum-bailey.

Verily yours,

Ros

ok I did try that first time but in the preview it gave me some message saying as this is your first post maybe you would like to post in introducitons.. and Im like hmm I thought I was. Ok now I should say thanks and yes I obviously stuffed up somewhere along the line.

Arriving early next year... there is a cool festival in Basel in Feb, Fasnacht, make sure you wake up for the start (4am Monday morning). Yup, the Swiss are different.
