Internet Entrepreneur looking to start a business in Switzerland

I'm Vex and I'm an internet entrepreneur who is looking to make the move from Australia to Switzerland in the not too distant future.

I've asked some very specific questions in regards to opening a GmbH here:but I've had no replies. If you can help me with any information in regards to my question, then I will be very grateful.

Looking forward to contributing to this fantastic community!

Re: Internet Entrepreneur looking to start a business in Switzerland

If you annual income is around 250k then your business is booming; go find a good (international) tax adviser that can share all the CH tricks / ins & outs.

Perhaps a trust in Zug or a special ruling in another canton. And if you're really earning your main income via the internet (just like I do...) then you should also consider the e-zone in Curacao (http://www.curacaolegalportal.com/Pu...e-Curacao.html).

Good luck!

Thanks NikNL. I am planning on travelling to Switzerland in the next few coming months to meet with a tax advisors, accounts and business solicitors that have been recommend to me. I just want to gain as much knowledge as I can on the matter from people who may have been in a similar situation as myself.

I am aware that their are superior options to Switzerland, like Curacao for example, when I comes to basing a global e-business. What has made decide on Switzerland is the country's excellent geographical position and high quality of life- I could really see myself living there for a long period of time.

Very interesting information none-the-less...

With regards to the e-zone/free trade zone; you don't need to be based in Curaçao to take advantage from the extremely low taxes for e-business companies; you need to make sure the core of your business is done there (e.g. transaction on a server, a certain click or whatsoever) and have your shareholder meetings there. Companies pay 2% annual profit taxes, no import duties and no sales tax.

Some other dot coms are located (or have core services/servers) in Zug.

Good luck in the coming months :-)
