Well, when im asked what race am i and i say mixed race, the person gets into this furious debate about how i am suppose to be calling myself coloured and wanting to know why i dont speak Afrikaans!I was once walking to a shop, and two young girls were walking behind me. They were debtaing among themselves about whether im white or coloured. The one girl actually said "she is one of those whites that have a darker skin!"Imagine!hahahaha South Africa!

Afro-Pole meaning one balck parent one white parent?

My close family friends are Afro-Pole. Mom is black and the dad is Polish..

According to some university applications I am an 'Euro-Asian caucasian' :P Not sure what this means, bet hey, we grew up in the Rainbow Nation! Both of my parents are Polish, but we have lived in SA for more than 20 years, so we do have every right to call ourselves Afro-Poles

Euro-Asian??Wow!You are right, you do have every right to call yourselves Afro-Poles!In SA, the race issue is so sensitive, that one does not just assume a person's culture or race.

Hey Guys,

I'm also moving to Geneva in a few weeks, will be staying with a friend for 2-3 weeks and was wondering if anyone had some good tips for finding an apartment or ideally a flat share????

try airbnb, most of our short term consultants happen to get a deal in a matter of days. I also use this site in booking a room to stay if i travel in europe.

Re: Student moving to Geneva in September, so excited!!!

Hi

Im a bit new to this, so bear with me!
My fiancee has only just moved out to Fribourg about a month ago, but from his feedback, everything seems to be more advisable to get things from where you are and bring it over. general things will seem more expensive initially, but i would suggest the same to maybe look online or see if you can get anything shipped over.

I am looking to move over, but am looking for employment 1st, so if anyone has any suggestions or advice on this, i'd greatly appreciate this too! Im a very creative person, i have my own stationary business which is also very new, check it out! id love any feedback, as i love making wedding stationary...
www.manis-creative.co.uk
A lot of is is Asian orientated, as there was a gap in the market, throughout the northwest of england! However im always open to some feedback on this!
