Salsera moved from London to Geneva

Hello everybody,

I just wanted to introduce myself to this Forum. I am Katharina and I just moved from London to Geneva to start a new chapter in my life. I am a big fan of Salsa and I am really looking forward to meet the Salsa community in Geneva.

As I would like be more confident with my French, I am looking for good intensive French courses. There are a lot of schools around which offer such courses (e.g. ASC, Inlingua, IFAGE, ELFI). I am not sure which school to choose. The courses offered by ELFI seem to be one of the cheapest ones. Does anybody know if the courses at ELFI are any good ? I would really welcome any tips or advice on that as I am struggling to make a decision .

I didn't even know there was a salsa community. Do you discuss various recipes and the merits of cooked or raw? Do you favour a lot of chilli or just a little? Coriander? Finely chopped onion, or rough? ITWSBT.

Oh, welcome, by the way

Thanks for the Welcome Ace1. Your response really made me laugh . I didn't mean Salsa as in cooking, but Salsa as in Dancing.

Welcome! I'm not a big fan of salsa myself, but there does seem to be thriving community in Geneva - there is often dancing at Tony's Bar on Quai de la Poste which is very central. I've seen the occasional live salsa bands playing in Suite 115 on Rue des Eaux-Vives too.

Of course there are loads more options, but those are the ones that immediately spring to mind Have fun!
