Serbian lady married to a German guy moved to Zürich...

Hello everyone!
I am originally from Serbia...three years ago, I came to visit my aunt and met my current husband who is originally from Germany.

At that time, he just moved here from London, and it was a refreshing to meet someone who speaks English, because,at that time, at the German language I know to say just Munich and Heineken . Much later he explain to me that Heineken beer actualy belongs to Dutch!

Serbia belongs to a third world countrys, and I had a lot of trouble to get a visa for Switzerland but now it's finally everithing ok...

And here I am....Living in Effretikon(a small town between Zürich and Winterthur)..

In Serbia I finished high school and college in the area I just do not know how to translate. Once you've completed this college in Serbia you can do as a boss in a restaurant or hotel, but to my great sorrow Switzerland does not accept my diploma.
Here I have to start from the bottom, working as a waitress, and then go to their school if I want to progress, and to be a boss one day...

Of course, all this can be done, unless you have passed the B1 level of the German language, and that is why I now ,learn, learn .... Ich lerne German!

I got lucky because my husband is German and helps me a lot, but still,at home we speak English ...

Ok...thats who we are...I hope I will find some new friends here, and I will be happy to share my expiriences...

God bless you all.

Добредојде! It's written differently in Serbian, but I'm sure you understand Macedonian a little bit!

Good luck with learning German and finding a job in your area, it's tough for foreigners especially, but what not in life isn't, right? I myself am struggling with French and British diploma not really recognized in Switzerland.

Serbia is definitely not a third world country, once you visit it, taste the food and meet the locals it's really hard not to love it! I spent a lot of time there in the past.

You'll find a lot of useful info here on the forum. I wish you happy stay in Switzerland!

He he actually its " добродошли ",on Serbian, but you are right,I understand Macedonian(and allso Bulgarian),Croatian,Bosnian,Slovenian, and newest Montenegro language.. Basicly ,all those languages are same.. Once upon a time we was a big country named Yugoslavia, and it was "obligatorisch" to learn all those dialects...Now ,those are official languages...

I was to Australia ,and meet some Japanese people..It was funy to see their faces, when my brother said them, that in addition to English and Russian,we speaking five or six languages more....

Im glad you love youre time spended in Serbia...Its a very frendly country no mether what the politics said.

Thank you for the welcome, I hope I will fit nice into society in a forum.

Welcome to the forum. Visited Serbia for a business trip last summer, had lots of fun. Serbia, third world country, really? You've never been to Romania than.

Re: Serbian lady married to a German guy moved to Zürich...

Name is F.Y.R.O.M - NOT JUST MACEDONIA,

Skopje is the Capital of FYROM.

And because it is good to know some things please read here:

Wikipedia reference-linkhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macedonia_(Greece)

Makedonia is a geographical and historical region of Greece in Southern Europe. Macedonia is the largest and second most populous Greek region.

And for the propaganda that FYROM made you can read here:

http://http://www.historyofmacedonia.../conflict.html

Makedonia was, is, and will be forever Greek.

There is no "Macedonian" language.

At least from the Serbian lady I was expecting to now this and not repeat that she knows the "Macedonian" language.

sorry for the offtopic.
