Re: somewhat new to Bern

I despair!

Three pages of comments resulted in only one "Pub crawl" run by another organisation!

Please, please, organise something. Just click above on
Events -> Social Events -> New Event -> Add New Event

Then we can all sign up and add any comments, but at least we have a target date and place. If nobody signs up then it doesn't happen.

I organise a dinner on the first Tuesday of each month, it isn't difficult, but I am always sad that in Bern almost nothing ever happens on this Forum.

Otherwise you'll all have to join Glocals Meet Up !!

I'm sorry, I am still not used to the forum rules/etiquette but let me disagree that our chat was useless - I met a few interesting people over this thread and honestly - I would prefer something spontaneous, rather than planning a couple of beers week(s) ahead.
Of course, planning has its advantages - in case it is about something bigger than just a few drinks.
Otherwise, I agree that surprisingly, there is not much going on in Bern on this forum...I have no idea who Glocals are?

My best Italian friend is coming for the WE, so I am fully booked...

Re: somewhat new to Bern

I would say that you are in the wrong country, if you don't plan things week(s) ahead, and you want something 'very' spontaneous-you will have that with your italian friend-I guess...

The glocals is a website (it also works if you type it to google): glocals.ch , for socialising.

Sbrinz did not say the chat was useless. He was merely pointing out that the Bern area EF peeps are not very active - in spontaneous meets or in scheduling events.

Welcome to Bern! It's always good to have a few Italians around to raise the style level but don't expect proper pizza or coffee around
