Brit in Bernese Oberland

Morning all,

got myself an account the other day and thought I should do the decent thing.
I realise that not moving to Basel/Genf/Züri was a mistake on my part but the missus got a job near Interlaken so I would be interested to hear if there are any other EF'ers in the area.

I come from London via Scotland and Cambridge and surprise, surprise could do with a job. Have been here getting on for a year now and have been trying to learn German, but it is slow work (as in, I seem to be a bit slow).

At the moment I don't really have anything to complain about in Switzerland, but give me a while and I am sure I can come up with something

Homer

Re: Brit in Bernese Oberland

Where are you in Bern Oberland? We visit Leissigen quite often. The Italian restaurant right on the lake between Leissigen and Faulensee (I forget the restaurant's name. I think it's Lido di Elio) has great pizzas. If you have children, there is also a fantastic small play area in Faulensee, again, right on the lake, next to the tourist info kiosk.

Thanks for the recommendation, we live basically in Interlaken and no kids yet, but hopefully not too long
