many international companies don't require german, but require other qualifications e.g. accounting.

Don't tell me it was hard to find a job in Norway....
But it's nice to travel and experience the world, whatever your reasons were to start with Switzerland. Good luck.

... and I am telling that everybody demanded Norwegian when I lived in Norway I see a pattern emerging...
Learn German fast, what ever your reasons for coming to Switzerland were, you must have known that neither English nor Norwegian are local languages. Draw your own conclusions.

Yeah ofcourse language is always the most important thing when you move to any country. I was just wondering that maybe i could get a job (english, norwegian) WHILE i m still learning German You see just for the meanwhile

Re: new in st.gallen

Hi Norwegian Swiss! Are you by any chance studying at HSG? I start my graduate studies there the next semester! If you are a student there, I'd check the forum for job postings (usually you can get something involving English somewhere on campus, but don't count on making loads of money...) Also, I would emphasize on my motivation letter that I was in the PROCESS of learning German, employers like to know that.
