moving to Fribourg

Hi,
My name is Florencia and we will be living 10 minutes away from Fribourg. We lived in Georgia Atlanta for 5 years and in Philadelphia 5 years before that. I am originally from Argentina, I speak Spanish and English fluently. I have two kids, Matthew (12yrs old) and Sophia (10 yrs old) I hope we can meet other english speaking families here, sometimes is hard to be speaking French all the time.
Best regards to all,
Florencia

Re: moving to Fribourg

There is a rapidly gowing group of English speakers in Fribourg and surroundings, I think you'll be OK. Where will you be living?

Re: moving to Fribourg

Hi Guys,
Thank you for your welcome! How's your french? Still practicing, not very good here but i can be fairly understood... (though if we get together sometimes I am sure we won't speak any french, right?)

I hope sometime we can all meet...
Best
Florwilki

Re: moving to Fribourg

Hi and welcome to you all. Don't feel bad about the lack of French; 13+ years and we still are only very basic when it comes to speaking the language. But we're going to try and get to grips with it at long last so I expect you're all way ahead of us already.

Re: moving to Fribourg

There are a fair few Brits here in Fribourg and as someone who doesn't speak the native tongue (yet), I get on pretty well. Its quiet but if you are the outdoorsey type there is no end to the fun you could be having. Will be good to organise some kind of social gathering at somepoint.

Re: moving to Fribourg

Hi all,
As soon as I got myself moved in (sometime a the end of August) I can organize maybe to meet somewhere so that we get to know each other... if someone has the time to organize something before I promise to attend with my family!
Best,
Florwilki
