Hi guys,

If you are on for a few beers this Saturday, write back and we can organise something somewhere.

Talk then.
I'm in.

Maybe we should organise it on the events page?

Cool, that might be a better idea. We can meet wherever you want. Pickwicks or some place named like this seems to be a place where expats go. How does this sound?

Re: Moving to Basel

Pickwicks is the only bar I've been to so far. It seems as good a place as any to start off at!

Re: Moving to Basel

Wait, so if I declared a religion on my Basel registration, I will be sent a tax bill even if I don't practice (go to church/synagogue etc)...? Is there any way out of this? Thanks in advance!

If you declare that you are a protestant, catholic or a few other denominations then yes. If like me you're just a Christian of no particular denomination, then you put Konfessionslos - i.e. without confession. However, be aware that you may not be allowed to be married in one of the state sponsored churches, nor buried nor christened.
