Hello to All (no expat but new in EF)

Dear All

I would like to say hello to you as a new member of the EF. Im not an expat as I was born and raised in the the German speaking part of Switzerland. Although I lived some time abroad in my younger years (long long ago in far far away) my command of the English language is not as good anymore as it never was ;-) So please have mercy and dont shoot at the typos.
For some time now I follow various topics here and Im quite amazed at the friendly and often humorous exchange of opinions and helpful tips. There is a great community here indeed. And there are some very witty frequent posters whos postings I always enjoy reading.

To me its fascinating to learn how foreign people experience or view our way of living. Its like a kind of a mirror or a special set of glasses to view our societey (the occasional eye opener inclusive).
Guess I wont post a lot, but who knows. Maybe I can be of help one day if something comes up that rings my bell. I live with my partner (she's Asian btw) in Schlieren/Limmattal, near Zurich. Well, thats it. Just wanted to say hi makes me feel good.

Have a good day. Today is a good day to have a good day

Hello Deltagolf and welcome to the forum. Check out the social calendar for lots of fun events to meet people and socialize...and don't worry about the typos, this forum is full of Brits who tend to be quite illiterate at times.

Thanks carmengall for the warm Welcome. I mean this quite literally. Sitting here at my regular waterhole and it's hot! Summer is back. Had 3 glasses of Epesses so far and am battling terribly with this stupid autocorrection on the iPhone.

@TiMow: Lucky you! I still try to figure out who I am ...

cheers
