New in Zurich. Glad to find you all!!

What a learning curve the last 4 weeks have been! And I must thank Englishforum.ch for showing me the ways. There are so many useful info here for new non-EU. After reading your threads, I feel lucky getting a B permit right away as a mother/wife? I didn't think it was a big deal but I suppose if you're an individual non-EU it's a different path to have gone through. I feel like the lucky Aussie after reading all of your comments on the subject.

Regardless, I love the stories that have been shared here, from such selfless points of views. Ca va mieux, c'est bon, voila c'est bon..

Merci beaucoup a tous.

Agree, EF has been a source of endless info for all newbie's here in CH. I followed my wife here 3 months after she returned to CH. I only applied for a B-Permit after I arrived here and received it without any issues from Immigration.
P.S. Welcome to Switzerland

Re: New in Zurich. Glad to find you all!!

The sad thing is that I found more useful info (and links to actual legitimate immigration-related info) on Englishforum.ch than the Swiss Consulate in Sydney. They gave us the run-around and horrible misleading info when we went there (twice). And we happen to know a friend, married to a Swiss, who had to wait 6 months for his B permit..I bet he was dealing with the same "expert" at the same consulate.
