new in Basel&St Louis, looking to get to know people

Hello!
I just moved to St Louis (next to Basel), and I don't know anyone around here, so I am looking for english speaking young people to hang out with.
Also I could use some tips on how to find a cheap french course ( and jazz dance lessons! ) in St Louis or Basel. (google didnt help much)

Hey! Welcome!

St, Louis is an OK town to live in. Check out the markets on a Saturday! Very nice!

You can just pop in and register for the french course. (I did the course a few years back...) I dont think the place to register and the place to attend are the same.

I think you register in the modern building beside the library..

Re: new in Basel&St Louis, looking to get to know people

Thanks for the suggestion, I didn't know we could! here it is:

for 1h/1h15 lesson: 30e one person, 45e two and 60e three.
we can go up to five people, but not more than that.

Ritita, if you're interested, why don't you check with namhie the possibility of creating a group in st louis/ village-neuf?

I am a professional teacher, I've been working in different companies such as Novartis France, DSM, Weleda, Fedex, TNT, ..., through the languages school I work for, but I also have experience in working as a freelancer with private lessons.

so, if you're interested, contact me!

Hi Ritta - I know a great dance studio in Liestal - (10 mins by train from Basel SBB) - they are doing a lot of great dance there - my son took some Break dance lessons - and I saw the girls doing - jazz. Just not sure of the age groupings. go to www.move-in-arts.ch

Best, jes

universitairepopulaire.fr to learn French.

SAINT-LOUIS
Renseignements : saintlouis@universitepopulaire.fr

I don't have a number, just the email address. The course started in October, and will resume beginning January, but I'm pretty sure you should be able to join up. It's certainly cheaper than private lessons.

I live in Saint Louis. If you want some more advice, you can send me a private message (I think you need to have a certain number of posts to do that, can someone advise please?)
