First time mum!

Hi guys,

I'm not new to Switzerland, or to the forum, but I am new to the whole mothering business! I am a proud mum to a beautiful 4 month old girl and now that all the visiting relations are slowly dying down we are ready to get out and about and meet other english speaking mums and babies in the area! We live in Baar and would love to hear from anyone who's interested in some adult conversation while our babies can babble!

Looking forward to hearing from some of ye soon.

Theresa

Re: First time mum!

Thanks for the welcome! With 68,000 members hopefully there's a loose mum or dad around the Zug area that would like to reinstate a little sanity into their lives before first class babbling becomes their first language!

Have a great day Theresa

Re: First time mum!

Thanks tanyafly! The first four months have been fantastic, we are really enjoying the parenting experience!

Biff Zug is only about 30 mins to the Zurich HB

Re: First time mum!

Have you also tried Meetup.com? There are a few English-speaking mother and children groups who meet up regularly. We went to one recently and it was great to meet with other parents and their babies.

Re: First time mum!

I think every new mum dream about having "adult conversation" - I mean what is really adult conversation ? speaking about how your baby is developping, how you are coping etc is not considered adult conversation? - but all you will do when you will be in contact with the other mum is talking about babies babies and babies! All the rest will have to wait a little bit more !

Re: First time mum!

Thanks ms_thiem I did have a look at meet up and found a few groups close to Zurich thalwil may check them out!

Lola07 telling someone other than my baby how fantastic she is wil be quite a refreshing step for me right now! I'm sure when acquaintances become more friends we can brave away from the 'only talking about babies' phase, I guess all friendships start by sharing your commonalities to connect! Anyway right now it beats talking about work!
