Hi there - new to Zurich!

Hello all -

I just wanted to drop a quick line to introduce myself and let you know how truly wonderful it was to have this website as a resource prior to coming over from the States.

I'm a 34-year old physician who is taking the summer to do some writing and research. I'll be in Zurich as a home base, and may stay longer, visa permitting. I've rented part of a flat for the first month in District 5 and have been loving it so far.

I came last week, just as Zurich began unthawing, and have been making the best of this beautiful weather - exploring lots of parks, the old botanical garden, Uetliberg, and spots off the Lemmat. I'm hoping to make it out to the big mountains this upcoming week.

Anywho - I'd love to connect with some like minded, soulful people.

Hope this finds you all warm and well on this rainy day!

Best -

Rich

Welcome to the Forum and Switzerland!

The weather is looking good for the coming weekend. Check
out Rigi, Pilatus, and Lake Luzern. It should be really nice
this coming weekend.

Check out the social events on the English Forum and the
local pubs for English speakers.

Welcome to Zurich and the EF Rich. Where in the US are you from? I'm originally from NYC but was living in Raleigh, NC before I moved here.
Cheers,
Sue

Hello All!

Thank you for the warm wishes and suggestions!

I'm originally from Texas but lived in many places in the Southeast and Southwest. Very happy to be here now.

Look forward to the lake and Lemmat warming up...I imagine it shouldn't be too much longer now
