Not new yet but hope to be!

Hi everyone. Another newbie joins!

I'm enjoying reading in this forum various views and thoughts on living in Switzerland. I've visited lots of times and love it so have decided to head over from Australia in a couple of years time when my job will change and will aim to spend 12 months in Basel.....perhaps longer. I thought I'd get in early and start my research now on what to do and what not to do. Getting stuck into some proper German lessons will be a good start as mine's basic at best!

As someone said in this forum recently, gotta love dual citizenship! And thanks to the Swiss for allowing concessions for EU passport holders.

I'll be looking for hints and tips on job and flat hunting in a couple of years! Look forward to your input then.

Cheers from sunny Perth.

Re: Not new yet but hope to be!

Hi! Nice to have a posting about my message!

Yep, it's been 41C and more a few times recently in Perth but reaosnable now around mid 30Cs! I'm happier in cooler weather so Switzerland should suit me I think!

Look forward to catching up with lots of new friends when I eventually get there!

Ciao.....or should that be sali?!

Pam
