Re: au pair in neuchatel wants to meet other au pair or people

Welcome to our lovely city of Neuchatel Marlene. You could visit the Cafe Du Cerf, behind the restaurant des Halles- lots of young Brits there.

Where are you from btw, and which part of Neuchatel are you staying in? Hope you have a great Summer with us.

Sorry for going backwards, but I've reached my EF limit for today - I blame the bad weather lol.
Wow, La Brévine - I bet they've NEVER EVER seen an Au Pair up there, lol. Not far at all from me, so if you ever want to meet for coffee, just ask. Have you been to the lovely Lac des Taillères yet, or to nearby France? (btw I am a Grannybut young at heart, lol). Skating on the lake in winter is just the best. There are a lot of young Portuguese in the area, and 2 Portuguese shops in Fleurier down in the valley.

Record cold temperature in La Brévine was recorded in 87 (I think) -42.8 C !!!

So there will be a BBQ here 3rd week August, date to be decided - BBQ + local mozzarella di bufala, tomatoe and basil salad - and absinthe of course, can't come here and not drink our Green Fairy A bientot.

Welcome to the Forum Marlene.

My advice for you is to buy some warm underwear while it is still available: you will need it when waiting for the bus in the winter at La Brévine, it's usually the coldest town in Switzerland.

Bem-vinda! I imagine we'll organise an event later in the summer, although I won't be back until mid-August (going to England then... Portugal!). Odile, what do you think about another BBQ, maybe in August?
