Not new in Switzerland, but new to the forum

Hi everybody!

I'm 24 year old guy, going on 25, from Algeria, but having lived in Portugal, France, Egypt and the UK. Like I said in the title I'm not really new in Switzerland, I've been around here since January, having moved from Leeds, UK, where I was living previously. Before that, I'd come to Switzerland normally once a year to visit my family living here.

I live in Bern, on account of having family here (rent free living is nice ), but I work in a small company (15 people) in Zurich, and so commute on a daily. That being said, I travel(ed) around Switzerland quiet often, seeing as most of my buddies were studying/working in Lausanne, Nyon, Geneva and Basel areas, (GA/AG card is great for that ).

What else can I say about myself...
Well that I've been on this forum for ages, since 2008/2009 or so, but never registered because I wasn't ever settled in Switzerland. I love this forum, because it's a really accessible place to get a ton of practical and useful information.

In the past few months pretty much all the people I know have left Switzerland for one reason or another, and although the people are very interesting individuals (Harley-riding 60 yr olds! ), the average age is 55+, which makes for a lot of good stories, but not many common activities. So, I'm looking forward to officially and formally join the community, instead of merely being the cyber-ghost I formely was, perhaps contribute where I can, and generally meet new people!

With that, Hello everybody!!

Welcome to the Forum.
Better late than never.
*Obviously another male. No female could read stuff on here for four or five years and resist the temptation to register so that she could stick an oar into some discussion or other. ( Me, I lasted about a week and I hadn't even any questions I wanted to ask!)

After reading your Intro I had to have a good long think.
So. Should I give a load of green rep for finding and using the information sought on here without asking a load of incomprehensible, long-winded or repeat questions?
Should I hand out red rep for 'using' us without adding information?
Give a 'Thanks' for the good intro?
Give a 'Groan' for not registering?

I decided on a well-earned thanks for an interesting post and for the rest I'll play the waiting game.

Have fun. Hope you find some new, young-enough mates to meet up with in your free time.

* PS This is a sexist remark. I am female, a realist and almost the oldist on here! Complaints will only be accepted by PM between the hours of 01:00 and 03:15

Welcome, former cyber ghost! So do you speak some Swiss German already, since your family lives in Bern? Sounds like you should have lots to contribute.
