Hey everyone, I'm planning on moving to Basel in a few months from Ireland, can anyone give any advice on getting started and where to meet people, thanks

Hi, there are lots of events organised on this forum, and also on another site, called glocals. Make an introduction of yourself here, and you may find people who have similar interests. There is also a Basel Irish Club, and something called Centerpoint - search for it here. Good luck!

Also there is quite a friendly bunch in Paddys and Mr Pickwicks (Irish & English pubs)

Basel is a nice city and summer (ish) is a great time to move here. All along the river people are having BBQs, out walking, having something to drink etc...

I'm Irish too - there's lots of us in Basel.
There's a very friendly bunch at the Basel Irish Club for starters, and then lots of other friendly clubs around with lots of different nationalities catering to all tastes.
Internations is another good place to meet people.
