Anyone fancy a few beers in Basel?
Been here a month and need to start getting out!!
I'm a normal 38 year old English guy who likes sport, music , walking and reading as well as a few sociable drinks.
Let me know if you are in a similar situation!!

Tell me more about 'loss prevention'. Naturally, I've looked at the wiki page and it basically discusses dodgy practices by employees (theft, etc); is this what it's about? What kind of company needs these services? Is it just retail?

It can be used across other fields as well as retail.
Doesn't have to involve "dodgy staff"!!, it also entails looking at patterns that exist in data and identifying any unusual trends

Its up to you, taking the opportunities , for example:
visit concerts all over europe (and in switzerland)
Taking the tgv for a day trip to paris (or for the weekend to the cote' azur)
buy a day ticket for switzerland and travel where do you want
Buy a bicycle and cycle all over
Visit a language course (for example french) once a week (after work)
Use your imagination, the money is already in your pocket........

I just PMed you my email. If you fancy a couple of beers one evening after work this week, then let me know.
If anyone else fancies joining, then that'd be good, and the poor sod won't have to get too bored by me.

If you are free during the week, that is Monday and Wednesday mornings, there are two walking groups for those two days. See my signature and if interested I'll send you details for joining the Yahoo Email Lists.

Is that walking (which I find boring, no offence, just my personal taste) or hiking?
EDIT: My bad should have read the description. Seems more hiking. I may join one day then.

Yes, anyone interested is welcome to join.
PS Today we did 11.5 km from Therwil over to the forest overlooking Aesch/Dornach and in a circuit back to Therwil. Great walk/hike if rather hot at times in the sun.
