... I had to look up that in Google; that should say something about my language skills!

I have been lurking here for last couple of weeks and taking in so much of invaluable information. Priceless for someone like me – Ich kann nicht Deutsches sprechen, Je ne peux pas parler français!! Thought I might as well come clean and say Hello!! So, Hello!!

I am from Dublin, Ireland. A “Software Engineer” by day, and well “Software Engineer doing unpaid overtime” by night. Over the last six months or so, I had to travel to Geneva a number of times on duty, and, well, let me be honest, I really liked what I saw! Of course I didn't like paying out wads of monopoly money every time I go out, but apart from that, I really liked the place, the relaxed (imho) pace of life, the over all prosperity and wellness... I have to admit, I have started fantasizing moving to Switzerland. My girlfriend is an accounting technician with a wee bit of French (and a qualified Montessori teacher) and she is not against the idea either, well, so far anyway!

Well, I am hoping that preface will stand in as an excuse for all the mind numbingly boring and shamelessly selfish questions that I might post here in future!! To start with, in more recent future, next week that is, I am back in Geneva for work, this time for a whole week and half. I also have four hours (!!) to live through, between flights in Zurich! So, any suggestions on what to do in Zurich for say three hours and in Geneva for a week and half, outside the usual working hours (+1 hour for contingency, just in case – no, I don’t trust my own software!) everyday?

Thank you..!!
