Hello from Ehrendingen

I just wanted to say hello, I'm a long time lurker to the forums and have found it invaluable in working things out here in Switzerland. I'm Pete and have moved here full time last week with my OH. I am starting Germany classes shortly and would be interested in hearing from anyone English language friendly to practise German with, chat to and perhaps coffee and walks. We live in Ehrendingen and although it's great for our two dogs it's fairly remote for non-swiss humans! Loving the weather and peace and quiet though, such a change from the UK

Such a great description! Our neighborhood is heaven for the canine overlord but kind of boring for the two of us humans. Thanks for making me smile and welcome to EF.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. We have like two sets of neighbours here, one side is a Swiss family that are lovely and in the other side there's usually a field of cows Everyone have a great weekend, Pete

Looked up where Ehrendingen is for the first time, as I only had a rough idea of where it could be! Welcome both.

Re: Hello from Ehrendingen

Welcome to Ehrendingen!

It's a peaceful precinct depicting Roman times and olden remarkable days of hunting. Sometimes the gunshots are still heard, while jogging and mountain biking, yet from faraway emanating from remote areas up in ubiquitous highvelds. Plethora of cultural heritage can be clearly discerned with one shop in the middle of boulevard where life of minions concentrates on daily basis. Noteworthy are audible sounds of ding-dong escalated from a giant church tower which informs busy farmers to call home. It's splendid time of the year to visit neighbours who start hibernating for winter in their lairs. Smell of fire-wood burnt and multiple smoke from chimneys which reaches our nostrils once you stand on balcony, it reminds us all (inhabitants of this Dorp all few thousand of us) that winter is around the corner. Rigorous recycling deadlines infest our mailbox with painstaking harmony people attend to their chores. The air is crisp and we all love our village - penchant so please do not hesitate to contact us should you have more queries about the place
