| Of the course there are not many Midwesterners in Switzerland. There are not that many people from anywhere in Switzerland, including Swiss. Switzerland has fewer inhabitants than Michigan.
Anyway, there are quite a few Midwesterners on EF, actually amazingly many. But usually what counts on this forum is not where you came from.
Once you've developed a bit of an elephant skin to fend off the usual newbie bashing, learned how to use the search function, don't call this country "Swiss", stop trying to find Black Angus steaks even if you can afford them, forget about s'mores because there's no Hershey's, no Graham cracker's and practically no marshmallows, undestand that crunchy bread is not stale but absolutely fresh, etc., etc., you'll realize that we actually are a fairly nice bunch.
Most of the time anyway.
Ok, fairly often, then.
Sometimes maybe.
I know it happened once or twice.
Never mind. | |

Not sure but Iowa has something like 3 million citizens and Switzerland something like 7 million.. and you say Switzerland has less than Michigan?
I'm also from the Midwest, worked in Ill, Wis, Minn, Neb, Iowa and Mo.
