G'day

G'day
Im Max, i met my Swiss wife while hitch hiking around Australia, and found myself here in Neuchatel just over a year ago. It was all very spur of the moment, took absolutly no time to inquire about permits etc..... Been doing 90days in 90 days out for the last year and a bit. Its a little bit annoying but i love it here. In the process of getting permits sorted, now that i have half a clue about whats going on. We are moving to Canton Vaud next week for my wifes work.
Anyway I just want to say hello, and if anyone out there wants to go for a gold pan after winter let me know! Have an awesome week!
Max

Welcome to the forum Max. Hope you get the permit situation sorted out soon. :)

I suggest you get hold of a copy of "Living and Working in Switzerland" by David Hamsphire. It's full of useful info. You can order it from your local bookshop or via the Internet.

Thanks! I am loving the country. I love the forests and picking mushrooms and finding other edible wild foods. I will track down a copy of the book, thanks, anything to make life here easier is good. Ive found Neuchatel to be a great introduction to switzerland, as far as cities go ive found it to be really nice and friendly, and if i put in a bit of effort speaking french to the locals, even if they speak english better than my french ive found they have all the time in the world for me. Even when a que of customers is backing up the customers dont seem to mind me stumbling and bumbling along they just smaile and nod their heads in what i hope is approval! Anyway thanks for the welcomes!
