I have been searching and viewing the posts in this helpful forum for some time now and have decided to join since I will be moving to the greater Geneva area in late August. I've just finalized the transfer/relocation details with my employer, a financial services company, and my wife and I are excited to move to Switzerland. This will be a completely new experience in our lives and we are happy to enjoy this new adventure in life. My wife and I are 28 years old, do not have any kids yet and feel it's a great time in our lives to live abroad for a few years. I was born and have lived in California, USA continuously.
I'm always ready to meet new friends and gain new experiences.

I suggest you frame the two sentences I quoted above to help you when the going occasionally gets tough.
(Not trying to put you off at all but life in any new field is not all roses, as I am sure you have already realised having read posts in the Forum!)

Switzerland is a wonderful country though and you will have lots of contacts to give you tips for the first few months in Geneva.
