May be this helps ? Neuchâtel and La Chaux de Fonds are not very far apart. If no one in this forum lives thereabouts,it might be worth to give that club a try.

nternational English Speaking Club La Chaux-de-Fonds
The International English-Speaking Club was founded in 1985 by Jeanne Benedict, an American who was living in La Chaux-de-Fonds at that time. Our aim is to provide is to provide activities for all ages and nationalities – in English, of course.

We have a very full programme which includes a good variety of events: speakers from both England and Switzerland, coffee mornings, walks, family outings, barbecues, various suppers, book exchanges, sports and games evenings, etc, etc. There’s a meeting at least once a week, on various days.

Re: Paddie in Neuchatel

Neuchatel also has a club for English speakers I think. From memory, I got this info from online documents. If you are new to Neuch, download these three pdfs (http://promeco.ne.ch/pages/f/util_publi_f.asp. It is a great intro with lots of useful addresses and info. (Download the lower three, the first ones at the top are irrelevant).

Re: Paddie in Neuchatel

Hello,

Yes Neuchâtel does have an English speaking club although I cannot remember if they have a site or indeed their details. I will try and find out.

I work in a Swiss environment so I must admit I do not have a lot of English contacts. Although there is a small group of Paddies and some Brits and loads of Americans at AutoDesk in Neuchâtel. There are more English and Americans at Phillip Morris + Baxter.

Why don't you mail me offline and we can meet up.

Thanks

John
