Hi
I'm new on this forum, but quite a while in Switzerland. Actually, I heard about forum ages ago, but ... laziness ... | The following 2 users would like to thank streetwalker for this useful post: | |

Welcome to the Forum.
Being on here a lot does ruin one's inate trust in the positive side of human nature. Awful really.
My first reaction when someone new to the forum but not new to Switzerland, or someone who has been a passive member for years, posts several times in very quick succession - particularly if they dig up old threads to do it - is to ask myself "what do they want to sell / buy / advertise".
It's sunny day. No reason to stick around on here. Why the wake-up call?
As your posts look quite helpful, I am crossing my fingers that I am wildly off track. Stick around for a bit and enjoy being a living part of this brilliant forum.

Thanks for advise Longbyt
You are already second who has warned me, not to post "too much".
Definitely not what I have expected
I'll keep it on my mind ...
This will be probably my shortest presence on some forum

(Might be influenced by your avatar? ) A nice, sunny day, no reason to stick around on here? You write at 14.48?
Well, fair is fair, so I express my notoriously positive attitude to anything (-body) new to compensate yours: Hi streetwalker, welcome. Hope you'll have fun and can stand the stings you'll experience here. And if you came to sell, offer some good stuff. And stick around after. |

Welcome , Streetwalker.
Sunny day or not, pull up a chair and stick around a while. There's a mixed bunch on here. Let it roll off you.
Best.

I'm a little old lady approaching (far too fast) her 77th birthday and one does tend to think the worst of people occasionally - Miss Marple said that in one of Agatha Christie's books.
I, too, had a positive attitude when I was young. Sighs deeply. | Quote: | | | | | A nice, sunny day, no reason to stick around on here? You write at 14.48? | | | | | At my age one cannot run around all the time you know. |

. | | | | | Welcome, Streetwalker. In case you didn't know it, Longbyt is referring, here, to an odd rule on the Forum which requires one to clock up 10 posts before being allowed to sell anything. Personally, I don't see any use in this rule, but I presume it must be historic, dating from a different phase of internet presence, and I observe that some people on the Forum continue to regard trading as a special extra, a privilege.
For my part, I welcome anyone's posts advertising any legal product or service, as long as it is clear what the deal is. Fine by me if you are only here to trade. And fine by me if you're here to discuss things.

At my age one cannot run around all the time you know. | | | | | Only as a by-line Longbyt - just binged watched the entire new series 3 of "Frankie and Grace" on Netflix (both are in their 70's, although perhaps a bit Hollywood style, might still be worth watching for a few laughs if you get a chance |

Welcome OP.
Like anything, someone who's already familiar with the ins and outs, pitfalls etc. may be a valued contributor!

I binge watched season two over a weekend when it came out. I rather enjoyed it.

Welcome to the Forum, streetwalker. Looks like your thread has already been hijacked by some legends and a cool veteran named ZuriRollt, so it looks like you're in the club.

Don't know what all this fuss is about.
This month I am simply the one on 'bad cop' duty, which is specially set up to make the rest of you 'good cops' look extra friendly.
Anyone who is on here regularly knows the set up. Each month one Forum Legend is given the job of 'being nasty to Newbies'. The rest are kind. Everyone being nice wouldn't work as as soon as the poor Newbie asks his first question without searching every single thread in the relevant section, the wrath of all descends upon him. Better he gets used to the temper of the place right from the start.
Hurrah for April, when I'm back among the 'nice ones' for a while.

I'm not really sure how to thank you, but thank the Legends that made this possible. It was hard riding the Troll accusation couch at the beginning, but my World has become a much better place thanks to EF. Definitely and absolutely.
Thank you EF!
