Hello all! So comforting to find you all here still - phew! Looking at leaving our place in the Aussie sunshine to return to Zurich - left in 2010. Woah! Gonna be some culture shock involved I feel! I'm a Brit, married to an American, with a teen boy and a 9 year old girl who was born in Switzerland and who has Down syndrome. Logistical / educational / linguistical nightmares, but other than that, all fun n games! Looking out for any and all tips and tricks, and see you before the new school year with a bit of luck and a successful interview technique from the hubs!

Hopefully welcome back and where else would the majority of us be. It's only fools like you who swan off to sunny beaches and warm sunshine. The rest of us stay here and freeze to death slowly.

Seriously, winter here in my part of the country hasn't been bad these last two years and we're already well into spring weather. The cherry blossoms on the farmer's trees opposite our house are 2 weeks ahead of where they were in 2014 so my other half told me yesterday. Which means we may be eating cherries by the end of May/early June.
