Student pilot living in Switzerland

Hello everyone, i am planning to live in Switzerland within 6 months, please may i ask you general questions here?

Im studying to become a pilot, doing my PPL here in South Africa. And wanting to do my CPL in Switzerland, hopefully with a student loan.

I do have a British passport.

Theres alot of options on how to start this but my main questions are

Will i be able to get a student loan in Switzerland?

Are there any pilots in Switzerland that i can talk to?

And i am looking to hopefully find a hostel to stay at, at an airport where i gain hours, if not, is the student accommodation a good idea? and what would an average price on it be?

Thank so much.

Re: Student pilot living in Switzerland

Hi, it's been a while since I did my CPL but there are plenty of good places around Europe/US that will sort you out. I'm not familiar with Swiss GA or Commercial training but I'd imagine it is about as expensive as you can get. Again I can't really tell you much your accommodation will cost but you'll be paying high Swiss prices!

I'd also imaging the topography would complicate your training somewhat and the best advice I'd give is to make it as simple (and quick/cheap) as possible. The job market is still pretty good, but it won't last forever so I'd get it done fast if I were you.
