Hello delfinita
Interesting and checkered past; we have quite a few who've moved from Sweden to Switzerland (so when people ask "do you speak Swedish?" you can answer "yes!").....Luzern is a nice place and there are a few EFers around there. Vegetarian beer is ok for you?

Re: Moving to Luzern for sure!!

A soon warm welcome to Luzern!

I won't tell you about the great burgers at 'Pickwick's' , but perhaps they are something for your fiancé..

Skiing/boarding in Engelberg is a dream & there are hundreds of Swedes up there in the Winter. It's just 35mins drive from Luzern or 50 mins by train.

Best coffee(by far): Black Velvet
Good thai: Chills
Vegetarian restaurant: Hofgarten
Tasty italian: Valentino
Dream icecream: Mövenpick

If you need any more tips when your here, just post & one of us Luzern EF'ers will answer you.

Good luck!
