New British mum in Basel

Hi, my family moved to Basel this summer and although the kids are settling well at school and my husband is enjoying work, I am finding it tough to meet other English speaking mums in Basel. My kids are school age (6 and 8) so we're a little old for most of the BCT activities. If anyone is in the same boat and would like to meet for a coffee and/or can suggest some good places to meet other parents in a similar situation, that would be great!

Hopefully, someone will be along soon from Basel to tell you about any future meet-ups.

Although, it's still early days, but great the kids are settling - that must be a weight off your mind. I hope you find your feet very soon.

Hi,

I've moved to Basel in the summer too with 3 boys age 4, 10 and 11 and also finding hard to meet other parents especially my little one is in the french school in Basel and the other older 2 are across the boarder in France for school. I am happy to meet up for coffee if you like.

Regards,
Bonnie

Hi there,

We’re moving in to Basel this summer, and have a 8yo (will be 9 in the summer). Hope you’ve settled in and have a good social scene going. Would love to connect to get any tips.

Cheers

I know of a Cub Scout/Boy Scout troop in Basel. https://baselcubs.ch

That is a great way to meet English speaking kids and adults. Maybe at a church as well? Good luck.
