Hi all,

I have been in Switzerland (barring a couple of months back home in SA) for 18 months now. I came to Switzerland from South Africa purely due to having a EU passport and a SA / Swiss friend who I knew before he moved here about 6 years ago. I was also keen to see a beautiful place, ski, and experience a different culture on leaving uni.

On the way I have worked in three different hotel and restaurant jobs, met a very steady swiss girlfriend, eaten many tasty cheeses and generally come to enjoy being here despite the mountains of laws and quirks of the Swiss themselves.

I am busy trying to move away from Interlaken to somewhere with better prospects for finding steady jobs with contracts longer than 6 months. I have previously studied Graphic Design and I am considering furthering my education, if possible.

I have always known it would be difficult to be here. My girl and her family have helped me out a lot for which I am very grateful. I hope that my time here will also be useful. I wish I had found this place a lot sooner!

I can't tell you anything about graphical design jobs (they're secret) but welcome and good luck!
