Hello/bonjour everyone

Hello/bonjour everyone,

I am 37 year old Canadian national looking to immigrate to Switzerland for work with my wife and young daughter. I am a certified information security professional with extensive experience in the field and fluent in 3 languages - English, French and Russian. Any recommendations or advice will be immensely appreciated. Merci!

Re: Hello/bonjour everyone

My advice would be to try to work for a multinational company in Canada which has an office / subsidiary in Switzerland.
Then you can try to get relocated within the company from there to CH.
Unless you have an EU citizenship, getting into CH from outside is difficult for a complete outsider.

Re: Hello/bonjour everyone

Without either a job offer from a local company, or a lot of money (really, a lot!) it is almost impossible for a non-EU national to get a permit.

Or perhaps the UN organisations in Geneva, but their 'permits' are different. (Don't give you permanent residency)

Re: Hello/bonjour everyone

It really depends on what you are actually able to do. IT Security is a very broad term.
If you are into cybersecurity and pen-testing (whiteHat hacking) you might have a good chance with big corporations or banks.
