Geeky graphic designer, newbie to the forum and Switzerland :)

Hi all!

I just moved to Switzerland on march (a week before all this covid got complicated :().

Im an 28 years old Ecuadorian Graphic Designer who just moved to Lucerne with my husband :)
Even tho I am in quarantine, the few things that I have seen until now have stunned me, this city is like a fairy tail, love it!

I don't speak a lot of german yet, I know some few things but Im totally willing to learn it. I speak Eng and Spanish.

I love to play videogames with my husband, we dont have much experience on rpg tabletop games but that's something we have always felt curiosity and wanted to learn how it works.

I hope you guys can give me a hand here, of how can I meet new people, maybe just chat now but later when everything gets better, can get out to drink a beer or to the movies. Im not a really an extrovert person, its really hard for me to make some new friends. So its kind of hard to me that part, so is there any app o something that I can use or what advise me to do?

Thanks for your help :)

Welcome to the forum and to Switzerland. :)

What type of video games? My husband's a keen board/tabletop game collector. Sadly, we're not in your part of Switzerland though.

Welcome to the forum. :) Lucerne is such a gorgeous area. I'm glad you also find it so beautiful here.

Maybe there are some activities in your area that you can begin to attend once the lockdown and pandemic are over. We've made some nice friends just by being out for walks in our neighborhood. Also, maybe take some German classes once everything is opened back up. I made a lot of good friends in German classes when I first moved here. And they were all pretty much in the same situation as I was -- new to a foreign country and also looking to make new friends. All the best to you. Have fun. :)
