Cycling around Unterägeri in 2020

Arrived in January in Unterägeri, I am now settled with the altitude and hills. I cycle practically everyday on a mtbike, you can follow me on Strava if you are in need of routes (search alain_degroot). In my overseas experiences, it's very common for cyclists to form groups, whereas here everyone does their own things, no Grüzi greetings, and I find it difficult to get to know other riders. Is there a place where cyclists meet, stop for coffee, publish their routes or organise outings ? How do newcomers get to know other cyclists. I'm 55+, XL bike frame, french/english/german speaking.

Most towns have a bike club, sometimes road, sometimes MTB or both. Try googling for your area. Maybe this https://velo-club-aegeri.ch/ althoguh looks like they might be road only. But next google find is https://www.aegeribikeclub.ch/

You need to search for Bike or Rad Verein.

Although for obvious reasons I doubt if there's any organised group rides at the moment.

There are some groups but most riders go along or with a friend or two. Quite a few bike riders meet at restaurants while on their bike tours.

Clubs around here seem to have a ride out once a week or so (or used to). But that is more road bikers, us MTB people seem to enjoy our own company a little more.
