Made it to Zurich :)

I applied for a job a while back in Geneva and it wasn't for me. I found a lovely company in Zurich which looks a challenging role but which will hopefully work out happily.

Next step.........learn German and Swiss German!

(P.s the weather here is insane!)

Welcome!

Thanks guys.

Very apprehensive about starting in a couple weeks as I understand there are large cultural differences and the work is very different. I want to make a good first impression on everyone as I've given up a lot to make this leap!

Welcome. Just learn German. Forget the Swiss German (Züritüütsch)! It will mess your head around

Welcome to the EF and (soon!) to Zurich.

While I don't know where you'll be working, obviously, my impression of people I've worked with and met socially in my years in Zurich is that if you try to get in and do your job well, they'll help you out - both the locals and the ex-pats.

I hope you have a smooth start!
