Welcome to the Forum, and soon Switzerland.
Your profile says that you're Irish, too. That's great, so that this move can be contemplated, at all, permit-wise.

I would check with the cantonal migration office on what monetary figure they consider would be enough for you to move here, assuming you don't plan to work in Switzerland. Just because you think you have enough to live on doesn't mean the Swiss authorities think the same and you might not get a permit to reside here.
Of course if you plan to work then that's not a problem.

Thank you for the sage advice to everyone.
Yes I need a reality check Medea Fleecestealer. I will check with cantonal migration when I arrive end of December Jan 2021. I will be registering as a sole trader as have a small online business. This is all a little premature but hey! got to mitigate the risks early on.
There is a permit that allows parents and grandparents to repatriate. So have to find out a little more about that.

There is a permit that allows parents and grandparents to repatriate. So have to find out a little more about that. | | | | | That would come under family reunification via your daughter's permit and she would need to show her accommodation is big enough for you all to live together and that she earns enough to support you as you'd be her dependent. https://www.ch.ch/en/family-reunification-eu-efta
That assumes she has EU nationality. If only non-EU then there's no option for parents/grandparents https://www.ch.ch/en/family-reunification/ | This user would like to thank Medea Fleecestealer for this useful post: | |
