New to the forum

Hello everyone,
just found about this forum... really great. I've been in Switzerland for 20 years (coming from Brazil) but just moved from Ticino to a small city near Baden (Aargau). Still learning German (not an easy language).

Hi Dietzius and welcome! I am also close to Baden - in Ehrendingen, and have just signed up for yet another intensive German class so I really feel the struggle. Send me a PM if you ever feel like meeting up for coffee and a little practice.

Thanks everyone!

zia2001, that would be awesome. I know where Ehrendingen is.

So far people have been real nice to me here, but getting to know people with this goddam virus around is a real challenge.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. We did the opposite, moved from Aargau (not far from Endingen) to the Tessin.

Making new friends at the moment is a huge challenge. As for the language, indeed German is more difficult to learn then Italian.

Good luck!

Hi, and welcome to the forum! With 20 years' experience in the country, I'm sure you've got a few tips for newcomers to Switzerland.

That's cool! And it's been long since you moved to Ticino?
I still go back there every weekend!

Not long at all, a few months.
