I think 120K will be an ok salary. You can certainly live alright in 120K whether married or not (unless you want to live too lavishly). Grenchen is a nice & relatively cheaper area to live around Solothurn. There are many expats due to many watch making companies in that region. It's very quiet though and Basel is almost an hour away.

You have to apply for a C permit and fulfil the requirements otherwise you are issued another B. My girlfriend has done that twice, as she hasn’t got a language certificate.
