Moving to Zurich from UK

Hello all!

I am very happy to be moving to Zurich with my family this winter.

I am very new here and would like to ask for some help.
Currently I am looking for relocation companies that could help with house removal/transportation.

I would very much appreciate if someone could recommend me a small/reliable company for that.

Welcome to the forum and soon to Switzerland.

If you mean a removal company, we used Britannia when we moved some 20+ years ago.

Re: Moving to Zurich from UK

I can tell you who to avoid.
We used Pickfords a few years ago and they sub-contract out to smaller companies.
The truck arrived at 6:30pm and the storage at back of truck was waterlogged.
Many boxes were sat in a pool of water.
The drivers to save money had set up a little kitchen in the back of truck and the water container with 10 gallons in it had fallen over and snapped the tap off resulting in the several gallons of water everywhere.
We were lucky and only 5 of our 60 boxes were damaged and these had cloths in them that dried out ok.
The person after us in the multi drop was in for a nasty surprise.

We rented a furnished apartment and thus had only personal effects transported.
House in uk we had house sitters for 4 years.
