Just to say 'Ow do' to the Forum and intruduce myself. I am a married, beer drinking, movie loving Brit residing in the Rheintal on the borders of Austria and FL. I have been here five years and have not done a stroke of work since I got here, effectivly retireing at 42.
I love Switzerland though find the Swiss people a bit challenging at times and have discovered that the bull.... beurocracy can pile up so fast you need wings to fly over it. That said I would rather live here than Iraq or even the UK for that matter.

It would be good to meet up with some other 'Ex pats' in this area (Nearest town is Buchs SG).
