We live in Victoria, British Columbia and will be moving to Switzerland in September for sabbatical. My husband is a mechanical engineering professor and I am a public school teacher (grade six) . We have two daughters; one will be almost 3 years old when we move and the other six months. We're not exactly sure where we would like to live (or where we might find a furnished apartment), but we're looking at Lausanne, Yverdon or somewhere in between the two.

This seems like a well-used and useful forum - we've learned a lot already! We look forward to more help with specific questions as we figure out our move in the next few months.
