I live in Bristol in the UK, since starting to look for work based in Switzerland I have been reading these forums. There are a lot of helpful people here so I thought I'd register to say hi.

I completed my IT degree last year which included a placement year which I spent at CERN in Geneva. It was an awesome 14 months and I knew as soon as I returned to the UK I would one day go back to Switzerland.

A year after finishing my degree I already feel the urge to go back. I've starting looking for jobs in Zurich (or Zug with a commute) as I think I'd like a change from Geneva, plus the nightlife will be better and it would only be a two hour drive to go back to see friends.

I have some questions which I'll post in the appropriate sections of the forum.

I've had a couple of responses already from my applications so fingers crossed. Hopefully something will happen within a month or two.

Good luck with your quest. Keep us posted about how everything goes. (i'm a bugger for happy endings) It would be interesting to see a start to finish, although as we all know "it a'int over till the corpulent lady sings"
