New Member -Want to Move to Zurich- With an Introduction

Hello,

I am 32 years old, married with a two year old Son. We live in Brooklyn, New York. My Wife and I have lived in NYC since College.

I work in the Art World, doing sales, curating and installing shows. But I was laid off in April. My wife is an established professional photographer: www.yokophoto.com.

We have been considering moving to Europe for some time, so being unemployed has helped push us to book tickets for a trip to Zurich in July to check it out.

In order for us to move, we have to first, really like Switzerland (neither of us have been, but have heard it is great) and I need to find a job so I can make money and for the paperwork. I am a dual UK/US citizen; hopefully this will help.

We have some friends who moved to Zurich a few years ago, and they really like it, we will be staying with them for a week.

We will also travel to Stuttgart and Munich for a week to sight-see and visit the Porsche, BMW and Mercedes Museums - we are a family of car fanatics!

Thanks for the forum and reading my post...

If anyone has some job leads in the art world?
Or general advice regarding our situation that would be great!

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with everything!

I have no knowledge of art-related jobs, but in general jobs are pretty tight in most areas right now ... as I'm sure you're aware! While I know a few artists, they're all back in Australia and not much help with connections for you in Switzerland...

Enjoy your holiday, and hopefully you'll make a couple of contacts while you're here!
