Hey, welcome to EF!
I'm from Australia as well, moved here to get away from the heat ... at least I left the humidity behind ... :/
Enjoy settling in, and check out the social events section!

There are a lot of Aussies about ... I think the thread title is attracting the little blighters!

I'm from Sydney | | | | | Heh, missed this earlier ... I'm from Sydney as well, towards the south (slightly inland from Botany Bay) ... as for the humidity, not sure of the actual figures but it feels less humid in summer here than I'm used to back there - on the hottest summer days, that is. May go looking for a met site now, to do a comparison ... but may fail due to low motivation ...

Welcome to EF, simpleozzieguy The city maintains a rather good social service and I have family working there. What exactly are your interests?

Thanks Nathu! Great to be here. I was just wondering if finding a job as foreign social worker here is possible or not. Do you have any ideas? Cheers |

Hi,
Just jumping on the "Aussie Band Wagon" here.
I've been in Zurich for 3 days now, it's awesome, but Sunday seems to be suprisingly dead....
Sorry I can't help with the social job thing, but I hope you settle in OK.
Bill
P.S. I moved here from Sydney as well, but I'm a Queenslander originally.... not sure what the fuss is about with heat and humidity.

Same here, working hard the whole week, it is really tough to go trough
the weekend without having something/not much to do.
I thinking about buying a cycle to do some trips/races, for example around the zurich lake or to schaffhausen, but currently having the money , because having some other projects running.
Should be an expensive/light one.
