Hello people

Firstly I must apologise for having taken a bit of time to post my introduction: I'm been lurking around the forum for a while and now that I have my job offer I feel I can join the community.

I will be moving to Switzerland at the end of April to take up a position in Zug. I am from Ireland but relocating from Thailand where I have been based for the last 3 years. Before that I was in Singapore for 2 years. Its a big move for me as in theory I will be giving up quite a few luxuries living in SE Asia (cheaper, beaches etc etc) and I admit Im a little apprehensive - but I like a challenge and the company I am joining seems really excellent.

I still haven't decided where I will live yet, Zurich or Zug but much will depend on where I can find a nice pad....

So I look forward to chatting with you all and perhaps meeting some of you in the weeks and months ahead

If you are going to Zug, you'll be very happy with the tax system (or lack of). It is cheaper than Zurich. (or any other canton for that matter)

Welcome to this great site. I discovered it a few weeks ago and although i have not used it very much, now i know that i have definitely got a transfer to Zug area, i will probably use it a lot more!
I will hopefully meet up with some of you when i get over in June!
