Hey

I am a Britpack married to a Jamaican living in Baden and happy to meet other Britpaks, asians anything for tips and to make friends. I have had loads of issues here with finding Halal meat any help would be appreciated and Happy Belated Eid Mubarak to everyone

Just one correction "Desi" does not mean Indian or refer to any other country/nationality as such. Desi means "local/native" derived from word Des = homeland.

Desi food would mean local/native food. ABCD/BBCD/CBCD are kinda oxymorons, but its funny way of saying "Hes one of us but born abroad"

The real irony is when a FOB marries a BBCD/ABCD/CBCD ... and then their kids growing up even more confused with some serious "issues"!!!

I am moving to Zurich in a month or so, working for a large swiss bank, with my wife, both British Pakistani's
Wondering if you guys have a community thing going or something? If not let's build one, I lived in Dubai for 2 years too where there was a small community of brit paks that grew massive in my two years there, hopefully can do the same in zurich!

I am originally from Birmingham, and my wife from Gloucester, but I studied in London and have been there all my adult life, apart from a 2 year stint in Dubai.
So how many Britpaks here? Any community meetings or stuff that goes on? Or do we need to get that one started?!

I am originally from Geneva, and my husband's from England. I did my undergraduate in Manchester and then worked in London for 2.5 years before moving to Zurich a few month ago.
-I hear from the Pakistani community in Geneva that there is a huge Pakistani community here. I haven't met anyone yet though.
Reading back on your post i was wondering whether you guys managed to organize anything yet?
