Scottish born Pakistanis in Zurich

Hi all,

My husband and I moved from the UK to Zurich a few months ago (hubby works in energy/IT).

Wondering if there are any more Britpaks in the area?

And what do people do for eid here?

Re: Scottish born Pakistanis in Zurich

Hey,

Welcome to Zurich. I am from london and have been here since March. Working for an Insurance firm. I dont have any fellow brit-pakistani friends in Zurich yet, but would love to build up network. It will be my first eid here, based on how ramadan is going (quite lonely and sad), I may just escape back to London for eid.

PM Me if you need any advice or want to catch up sometime!

It's cool - it's always nice to meet fellow britpaks - and the non-brit paks also.

Re: Scottish born Pakistanis in Zurich

Topic started from Eid and eid meetings and now..............
May be some one can plan Eid milan party and invite Brit or non Brit.

This will also help to know who is married and who is not.

Perfect! But first we need to decide if its gonna a Traditional one or a Modern one?

Traditional being... Segragated seating arrangements, Men one one side and Women on the other, with a partition in between. Middled aged "Auntys" being the Match Makers... Newly wed women givign opinions who will suit as couples... Old men sitting in one corner complaining/comparing how the new generation has changed from the times when they used to be young... Younger married Men on one side, holding their babies or kids... as their wives want them to carry the "Marriage certificates" in such social gatherings Singles out in their full colours, passing knowing smiles at each other.. All is well as long as the food is good

Re: Scottish born Pakistanis in Zurich

Really gone way off topic...

I'm actually genuinely interested in attending an Eid event so if that does actually happen let me know the time and the place otherwise if nothing materializes then Eid Mubarak and hope you have some halal fun somehow in this city.

As for the desperado's perhaps you should try a Muslim matrimonial website? Just an idea, don't shoot the messenger.

P.S. There's a huge diff. between Britpak VS Purepak. Which ever 1 you are, you know the qualities you hate in the other.
