Greetings from a California Transplant

Hi everyone,

I'm making the big jump to Geneva from San Diego, CA - arriving in late May and can hardly wait! I'll be arriving with my husband Jay and our three Bullmastiffs, and we are looking forward to learning about life in Geneva and enjoying a lot of local travel!

I'm thrilled to have found this site and look forward to chatting with fellow members over the next few years!

There is no such thing as an "ex-Californian"... I've noticed over here that when people ask a Californian where they are from it's always "California" and never "America" or "the US". Heh.

Anyway, you guys are going to really miss the beach and weather. Enjoy it while you still have it!

Re: Greetings from a California Transplant

I am guilty! Californian, most recently from Sausalito. Currently in Zurich. Thinking about organizing a Zurich get together, if people are interested. Probably next Thursday, May 3rd. Will try to figure out how to post on events calendar.

Re: Greetings from a California Transplant

How about part Californian? Was 8 years in San Francisco. Now, split time between St. Gallen and Fribourg.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

If you dont mind my asking: how did you handle the logistics of moving not 1 but 3 dogs on such a long trip/flight? I'd appreciate hearing about that. We only have 1 and I'm worrying already -- PS: we're in Orange planning a move to GVA as well.

Merci!

not to mention 3 bull mastiffs, that's more like 6 normal sized dogs.

Yo,hi dudess Jen from this native San Diegian southern Californian!

(Yes there is no such thing as an "ex-Californian".)

You've got to check out Luzern for sure too Jen!

Don't get stressed out with your Bullmastiffs....

Awesome move you're doing!
