Hi All!

My name is Chris Solarski and I'm looking to move to Zürich in July to be closer to my girlfriend.

I'm at the beginning of my career as a figurative artist, with a background in computer graphics; videogames, 3D/2D... I invite everyone to view my online gallery for examples of my recent work - http://www.csolarski.co.uk

My immediate goals are to get a part-time job; secure accommodation and studio space and to learn German to a competent level. Hopefully I'll get by with English for the first few months!

I'll be taking advantage of this forums large amount of helpful information but I'd also very much like to get to know people with regard to sport, art and general socialising.

Hello Chris!

Wow, it's good to know there are people who are pretty close to my professional background in Switzerland. I've been working on the east coast for a company that does subcontracting. Unlike some of my classmates who went to the West coast to be apart of the entertainment machine, I went in the other direction and stayed on the east coast.

My company is currently developing a simulation for Ohio State University that demonstrates small boat handling. I was senior designer for quite a while but now that I'm moving I'm going into consulting with them.

It would be interesting to see how you manage with the job hunt. What software do you use? Max/Maya? Good luck!
